Økologiske og toksikologiske resultater af uorganisk nitrogen luftforurening i akvatiske økosystemer: En verdensomspændende evaluering.
Vi tilbyder en verdensevaluering med detaljeret flersskalig information af de økologiske og toksikologiske resultater genereret af uorganisk nitrogen luftforurening i akvatiske økosystemer. Vores syntese af den trykte videnskabelige litteratur afslører tre vigtigste miljøspørgsmål:
(1) det kunne muligvis forbedre fokus for brintioner i ferskvandsøkosystemer uden en meget syre-neutraliserende kapacitet, hvilket fører til forsuring af disse metoder;
(2) det kan muligvis stimulere eller forbedre begivenheden, vedligeholdelsen og spredningen af større producenter, hvilket kan føre til eutrofiering af akvatiske økosystemer;
(3) det kunne muligvis opnå giftige områder, der forringer vandlevende dyrs evne til at overleve, udvikle og reproducere. Uorganisk nitrogen luftforurening af gulv og gulvvand kan endda skabe modsatte resultater på menneskers velvære og økonomiske system. Som et resultat af reduktioner i SO2-emissioner har formindsket den atmosfæriske afsætning af H2SO4 gennem massive dele af Nordamerika og Europa, mens emissioner af NOx er gået ukontrolleret, deltager HNO3 nu i en stigende funktion inden forsuring af ferskvandsøkosystemer.
Dette forsuringsforløb har induceret en række modsatte resultater hos store og sekundære producenter med vitale biotiske forarmelser, især hvad angår hvirvelløse dyr og fisk, i masser af atmosfærisk forsurede søer og vandløb. Den kulturelle eutrofiering af ferskvands-, flodmundings- og kystnære marine økosystemer kan medføre økologiske og toksikologiske resultater, der både direkte eller ikke er direkte forbundet med spredning af større producenter.
I dybde dræbte af hver hvirvelløse dyr og fisk er sandsynligvis i det væsentlige den mest dramatiske manifestation af hypoxi (eller anoxi) i eutrofiske og hypereutrofiske akvatiske økosystemer med lave vandomsætningsafgifter. Faldet i koncentrationer af opløst ilt kan endda fremme dannelsen af formindskede forbindelser, der ligner hydrogensulfid, hvilket fører til større modsatte (giftige) resultater på vanddyr. Desuden kan forekomsten af giftige alger betydeligt bidrage til den intensive drab af akvatiske dyr.
Cyanobakterier, dinoflagellater og diatomer ligner hovedansvarlige, som kan stimuleres af uorganisk nitrogen luftforurening. Blandt de mange totalt forskellige uorganiske nitrogenholdige forbindelser (NH4 +, NH3, NO2-, HNO2NO3-), som akvatiske dyr øjeblikkeligt kan optage fra det omgivende vand, er forenet ammoniak i det væsentlige det mest giftige, mens ammonium- og nitrationer er de mindst giftige.
Normalt ser havvanddyr ud til at være ekstra tolerante over for toksiciteten af uorganiske nitrogenholdige forbindelser end ferskvandsdyr, sandsynligvis på grund af den forringende påvirkning af vandsaltholdighed (natrium, klorid, calcium og forskellige ioner) på vanddyrens tolerance. Indtagne nitritter og nitrater fra forurenede indtagende farvande kan fremkalde methemoglobinæmi hos mennesker, især hos yngre spædbørn, ved at blokere den ilt-bærende evne til hæmoglobin. Indtagne nitritter og nitrater har endda en mulig funktion i dyrkning af kræft i fordøjelseskanalen ved hjælp af deres bidrag til dannelsen af nitrosaminer.

Nogle videnskabelige beviser anbefaler, at indtagne nitritter og nitrater muligvis vil føre til mutagenicitet, teratogenicitet og startdefekter, bidrage til farerne ved ikke-Hodgkins lymfom og blære- og æggestokkræft, spille en opgave inden for etiologien af insulinafhængig diabetes mellitus og inden for væksten af skjoldbruskkirtelhypertrofi, eller udløser spontane aborter og luftvejsinfektioner.
Skrå farer ved velvære kan opstå som en konsekvens af algetoksiner, påføre kvalme, opkast, diarré, lungebetændelse, gastroenteritis, hepatoenteritis, muskelkramper og flere andre forgiftningssyndromer (paralytisk skaldyrsforgiftning, neurotoksisk skaldyrsforgiftning, amnesisk skaldyrsforgiftning). Forskellige skrå sundhedsfarer kan endda komme fra det potentielle forhold mellem uorganisk nitrogen luftforurening og infektionssygdomme hos mennesker (malaria, kolera).
Menneskelig sygdom og død, intensive dræbte af akvatiske dyr og forskellige ugunstige resultater kan have forhøjede priser på det menneskelige økonomiske system, idet rekreations- og turisthandelen kæmper for en meget stærk økonomisk indvirkning, mindst regionalt. Det konkluderes, at intervaller med komplet nitrogen falder end 0,5-1. Nul mg TN / L kan muligvis undgå akvatiske økosystemer (eksklusive disse økosystemer med naturligt store N-intervaller) fra voksende forsuring og eutrofiering, mindst ved uorganisk nitrogen luftforurening.
Disse forholdsvis lave TN-intervaller kan yderligere beskytte vanddyr mod toksiciteten af uorganiske nitrogenholdige forbindelser, da gulvvand inden for fravær af eutrofiering normalt forholder sig relativt store koncentrationer af opløst oxygen, hvor mest uorganisk reaktivt nitrogen er inden for typen af nitrat. Desuden kunne menneskers velvære og det økonomiske system være sikrere mod de modsatte resultater af uorganisk nitrogenforurening.
